That is so cute! I love the houndstooth! That would look great in my son's nursery. =)
You could probably also use this idea for the 3D wood puzzle at Michaels. Those are smaller. You could hang on wall directly, or hot glue on to canvas, or use as a table top decoration. Worth investigating... I did some 3D art for Kaya's room using foam butterflies.
