I had seen this in a magazine and I fell in love with the idea. The problem was- whenever I made the silhouettes they were life size and I didn't know how to make them small without having to go to Kinko's and shrink it (I hate running errands like that with kids). My friend Tamra told me to just take pictures of my family's profiles and trace. It worked perfectly and I even am making a couple of just the kids for the grandmas. Fun, Simple, Adorable..............................

I love it! And I just have to say that I am totally with you about going places with my kids, going to Kinko's to make a copy sounds about as good as going to the dentist. I will find any other way!
wow-what a great project. i have another question on a separate craft. the clipboard you modge podged with scrapbook paper-does it matter if the paper is thin or cardstock? what did you use? i want to try one but needed to know the answer first. glad you finally put a profile pic up. now i have a face and name.

Hello. My name is Petra and I am a friend of Corrie Green. I found your blog through hers. I must say I am amazed at your creations. At first this seemed to be a "professional" blog with the AMAZING photos and wonderful ideas. You are certainly talented. I have a random question--what is the color and what brand paint did you use on your walls!? (the greyish tan) I LOVE it. We are looking for something neutral--I was looking at a khaki color but prefer yours. I apologize for intruding on your blog. Your help, though would be greatly appreciated.

Vinylsilhouettes.com will also do custom pictures like this in vinyl, which will last longer. They can do any size and color and their prices are ver reasonable. My sister did her daughter reading and loves it!
Cute idea!! I'm doing silhoettes now and I took a pitcure of the boys and then I used a word program to size them. cut them out and trace them onto black. I am also doing them a lot smaller to fit on an small piece of wood that will be an ordament for christmas trees for Grandma and Grandpa.
{I love all your ideas!}
