space completed!

I can't even begin to explain how lovely it is to have a designated space for creativity- there is nothing worse than being in the middle of a project and having to clean it up in order to serve dinner on the kitchen table- not to mention the fact that parts of your project go missing due to little rugrats! I know I have not posted lately but I promise I am back! This new space has been a breath of fresh air and the best Mother's Day gift a girl could receive. Chad and I had this old armoire in the garage and he moved it in to my room so I could have a place to put everything- I am finding that a home for everything makes crafting so much easier. The wall color is called "Squash" I wanted something bright and happy and boy did it deliver- it might in fact be too bright but I am loving it for now. I also love having a place for all of my computer stuff and a separate place where I can leave my sewing machine up. I find that sometimes I will put off sewing projects just because I hate lugging out the sewing machine each time- now there are no excuses! This room was inspired by my friend Tia who has a great space in her home set aside for herself. I know not everyone can have a place like this but I feel it is important for a girl to set aside a little space that is hers if she can- it really gives you a chance to remember your identity which can be difficult at times when you are in the trenches of motherhood. I will be posting some of the projects that I took from Tia's room for you all to make for yourselves- It is so good to be back!

I love it, and love the squash. my favorite is the green desk and pink chair so dang cute! If you have leftover paint send it my way! I was looking for those exact colors for my ribbon holder and my boxes.

Are you kidding me? The room is stinkin' amazing! It looks like a picture from a magazine.Seriously, I would not have known it was a real room. You should submit it. NICE job!
