a tangent............

I am blessed to be surrounded by many talented people. I have Ladies who inspire me on a daily basis with their ideas- one of those sweet girls is Tamra. I was able to spend the morning with her today and I left her house feeling so consumed with ideas I couldn't even keep them straight. I came home and made a manic list of like 17 projects that I want to do this summer. The purpose of my visit was to check out some fabric she is deciding on for pillows and bedding- that led to talking about paint color which then went to wallpaper and somehow we ended up completely rearranging her play/media room upstairs! It was not even supposed to be our main focus of the morning and now it is all I can think about. Her house has so much character and she is one of those that finds some of the most amazing pieces at thrift stores and such. We decided to make the room really whimsical with splashes of bright greens, yellows, pinks, reds, and blues. The project I am most excited about is the silhouette prints we are going to make and frame out of the same fabric being used on the pillows. I found this free pattern on Amy Butler's site. I will be sure to document this room makeover because my goal this summer is to get everyone to bring in tons of whimsy and color into their homes.
