Last Thanksgiving my sister in laws and I made these Christmas cans to begin a new family tradition. We put pajamas in the cans each year and open them on Christmas Eve. Each can has a place for messages and their very own key for opening. You can get cans at just about any hardware store and modge podge scrap booking paper onto them. I love traditions! Plus if you keep the messages over the years with the cans it is kind of fun to read them each year. I am going to keep a picture of the kids in their p.j.'s in the can as well so we can see how much they change over the years.

I found your blog from a link on Wendy's blog and LOVE IT!!!! You are so crafty and inspiring!
Can these cans be purchased empty or do you have to buy them full and clean them out????? I love this idea and want to do this with our family.
Please email me at garthe@jgtravel.net
Thanks so much!!! Jessica
