I am loving aprons right now! probably because they are easy to make , practical, and you can get away with all of the fun patterns and whimsy that you can't do every day (at least for me). I have been searching for great patterns and have found that there is actually a huge apron following out there- who knew? Here are some of my "loves" of what I have found: (click on pics for info)

Now for those of you who want to start out with a simple apron project- here is an idea from my friend Di- This is how she made adorable childrens aprons out of cloth napkins and ribbon:

First you need:
Sewing machine
thread
ribbon
large cloth napkin
Then you:
Cut of the top corners of napkin
fold cut area and make a new seam
take a long peice of ribbon and pin to new seam on either side leaving enough ribbon to fit around child's neck and still will leave enough hanging to tie on apron.
Sew on ribbon
you can even make a pocket or two if you want to be the over achiever (adding embelishmints would make it even more adorable!)
